Beers at the Red House

I made my second visit to Red House the other day.  I have been really impressed with this place.  They started off as a wine shop and tasting room and later added beer and tapas.  The beer selection alone is enough to keep me coming back several more times at least.  They have some really nice Belgian imports there I have yet to try but with determination I will be going through their inventory with each subsequent visit to give each a fair sampling.  :)

This visit my first was a 750mL bottle of Leut.  It was a farmhouse-style beer with a nearly "lambic" character.  Tasted a lot of pear flavors in it.  Overall it was a great beer, but with so many other beers on the menu I may never order it again.  That's a very good thing!  :)

Next up we had the '10' from the Trappistes Rochefort brewery along side the Withkap-Pater 'Triple'.  Both were very good I am sure... to be honest I was simply enjoying the beer and conversation at that point but I do remember that we all agreed that the Trappistes Rochefort was the winner of the night.  :)

Candace sent these pics my way so that I could do this blog post.  She's got a great eye doesn't she?  :)

Cheers to my bride and companion!
